Reload Org Cache

Reload Org Cache is a feature within Provar that helps users reload a portion or all of their metadata. This feature prompts Provar to connect to your Salesforce org, check for updated and/or changed metadata files and download the information for test cases. This helps to ensure that you are using and testing the most up-to-date information. 

The following includes instructions for using this feature within Provar. 

Step 1: Click the Org Browser tab. The Org Browser tab is located in the bottom right corner of your display. 

Step 2: Locate the Reload Org Cache icon.

Step 3: Click the icon and OK in order to reload metadata. You will be prompted to select one of three options to load the metadata: Reconnect, Refresh Only Changed Files and Refresh All Files

Reconnect: You can use this when you just need to simply reestablish your Salesforce connection. This feature is useful when your network connection has been temporarily disrupted due to an internet connection issue. 

Refresh Only Changed Files: This feature is helpful when a portion of your metadata has changed. For example, this feature is useful if you have recently deployed new functionality within your org. 

Reload All Files: Reload All Files is used to completely reload all metadata.
