Creating a Provar Manager Connection with JWT OAuth

This help page provides information for creating a Provar Manager connection in Provar Automation using the JWT OAuth connection type. The purpose is to execute jobs via CLI without storing sensitive connection details in the Secret file on a Version Control System.

Prerequisites

  • Test Project Name and Test Project Key
  • Encryption option: Java Key Store(JKS) or Private Key
  • Consumer key
  • Callback URL
  • Key store
  • Certificate name
  • Username
  • Key Store Password
  • Environment (choose from Prod/Dev, Sandbox, Prerelease, or other)
  • Access token (populated once authorized)
  • Private Key

Steps to Create Provar Manager Connection

Step 1. In the Connections tab, add and select a Provar Manager Connection.

Step 2. Fill in the required fields. Click the Test Connection button to verify whether the provided details create a valid connection.

Provar Manager Sync and Reporting

Using the new JWT OAuth connection, users can upload to Provar Manager. This should be done in the same manner as an OAuth webflow connection. If Provar Manager Reporting is enabled for a Test Plan or Test Plan Folder, test executions will be reported to Provar Manager, like OAuth web flow connections.
