Mapping and Executing Dynamic Actions in Provar

Provar allows users to map and execute Dynamic Actions, enhancing the flexibility and efficiency of test case creation. Users can map Dynamic Actions as flexi components, ensuring seamless integration with existing legacy scripts of action buttons in the highlight panel.

  • Dynamic Actions are mapped similarly to flexi pages, maintaining consistent screen mapping and structure. Visibility Criteria is displayed on the Test Builder (TB), similar to Dynamic Form visibility criteria.
  • Users can map and execute Dynamic Actions elements. Test builder Edit functionality is also supported for Dynamic Actions.

Legacy Script Compatibility

Existing support for action buttons on the highlight panel remains unaffected. Users can execute the same action scripts after upgrading to Dynamic Actions without any modifications.

No parameters in the On-Screen or Test steps should be altered to make scripts compatible with Dynamic Actions. There is no impact on the previously supported functionality of action buttons on the highlight panel. Scripts work even if action buttons are rearranged, provided the necessary columns, values, and actions are present.

Handling Unavailable Buttons

If a button is not available on the screen, execution fails for the script using that action button interaction. This ensures that scripts remain reliable and accurate even when certain actions are not present.
