Scalable Growth Enablement Value Driver
This Scalable Growth Enablement value driver answers the following questions:
- How much efficiency gain am I getting out of my headcount in relation to automation coverage over time?
- How much value am I getting out of my Provar investment?
Coverage Growth and Efficiency Gain
This metric card shows the combined metrics of automation coverage growth and efficiency gain of your QA team over a defined period of time.

This metric compares to the starting point as a base and takes into account automation coverage growth rate along with team member count and start/end dates.
For instance, in the above example, our automation coverage has grown from 4% → 68%, marking a 1488.9% increase overall! However, if you look at the efficiency gain, it shows a 14% (point NOT % based on coverage) increase in individual member efficiency, as we have gone from 0->5 team members. Team members are tracked through the Person object, and each record is linked to a Salesforce user. See the example list below that showcases each members start date and how this factors into the efficiency gain metric:

If you drill down further into the coverage growth metric, you’ll see a unique chart that tracks both automation coverage growth and efficiency gain over time separately.

These insights and breakdown also show key information, such as your automation coverage per team member, your maintenance overhead (tracked based on test case updates over time), and your previous and current automation coverage. All of these are fully data-driven and show real-time org data.

The How to Improve section will show your team’s maturity level for coverage growth, again with actionable steps on how to maintain or improve further.
Overall ROI
Last but not least is the overall return-on-investment metric. This tracks your total ROI for your Provar investment across all of our products. Since the Quality Hub Dashboard is driven by configurable cost-model and KPIs, this is always relevant to your org’s spend and value gained.

This metric card highlights the overall ROI (total value gained – your total investment) in a dollar amount and % for convenience in reporting and KPI threshold management. The KPI thresholds for overall ROI are measured by percentage so that they are dynamic for each organization.

The metric drilldown displays this ROI trend over time, as well as vital insights and a numbers breakdown. The breakdown separates your savings by labor, Provar Grid (if applicable), risk avoidance, and maintenance.
The insights also display data-driven information around your per dollar value gains in Provar, your ROI breakdown by Product, and the biggest value driver behind your ROI, which in the example above is Risk Avoidance.
And lastly, you’ll see in the How to Improve section how you can capitalize on your Provar investment further, increase your ROI maturity, and get more bang for your buck by implementing better strategies for testing, scaling your automation with reusability in Provar Automation, and so on.
