FAQ: Provar AI Capabilities
Provar AI capabilities for test creation, maintenance, and quality insights.
Does self-healing work only in Test Builder?
No. Self-healing works at execution time. It can be demonstrated in Test Builder, but it is intended to work across execution modes, including headless execution.
Will self-healing work with existing tests?
Yes. Self-healing is designed to work with existing test cases and page objects, including those originally developed before these AI capabilities were introduced.
Does self-healing fix every failure automatically?
No. Self-healing is intended to help with locator changes, simple UI changes, and certain DOM-related issues. It is not designed to override valid failures caused by functionality changes, validation rules, or business logic updates.
Is test case generation available now?
Yes. Test case generation is live and available for customers using the latest version that includes this capability.
Is Quality Hub included with Provar Automation?
Yes. Quality Hub is included for customers with Provar Automation licenses. Customers who want help getting access can reach out to their CSM or raise a support case.
Do I need Grid licenses for page object generation?
No. Page object generation is part of Quality Hub and does not require Provar Grid.
Can Provar generate both manual and automated test cases?
Yes. Provar supports standard test case generation for formats such as text, XML, JSON, and Gherkin, as well as Provar-specific automated test case generation.
Can generated tests be reused for future work?
Yes. Generated tests and related test intents can be reused as context for future user stories, helping teams build on prior work and reduce duplication.
Can Provar generate test data?
Yes. Provar supports AI-assisted test data generation for Salesforce scenarios. This helps create more context-aware data for testing.
Will generated test data always be unique?
Generated data is designed to be useful and varied, but teams should still validate it as part of their review process, especially where uniqueness or org-specific rules apply.
Does Provar support non-Salesforce applications?
Some AI-supported capabilities can be used beyond Salesforce, but the strongest reliability today comes from Salesforce scenarios where metadata context is available. Non-Salesforce use cases may require more review and refinement.
Can Quality Hub integrate with Jira?
Yes. Provar supports Jira integration, including bidirectional sync when enabled.
Can Quality Hub integrate with Azure DevOps?
Yes. Provar can import work items from Azure DevOps. Customers using Azure DevOps can bring those items into their quality workflow within Quality Hub.
How does Provar help prevent AI-generated assets from becoming test debt?
Provar validates generated assets and applies quality scoring and threshold logic to improve output quality. This helps reduce the risk of low-value generated content becoming new maintenance overhead.
Is customer data secure when using Provar AI capabilities?
Provar uses AWS infrastructure and Amazon Bedrock models for these generation capabilities. Customer data is processed through secure services and is not used to train shared public models.
