Automation V3: Import Test Project from Local Repository

The Test Project collects all your test-related data, including test cases and Connections.

You must have a Test Project set up before creating or running any test cases in Automation.

If you have a Test Project open already and need to create a new one, visit the File Menu and select Switch Test Project.

The Welcome screen allows you to create a new Test Project or open an existing Test Project.

If you have an existing remote repository and are working with Git, click Import a test project from GitHub or GIT on the welcome to Provar screen.

This will display the Import Existing Test Project from GitHub or GIT screen.

To choose from a local repository, select the From a local repository option.

Locate your Repository Folder by clicking the Browse button.

Select the desired branch from the Branch menu, the Test Project from the Test Project menu, and enter a Project Name.

Confirm your selections and click Import .

Repository files will be loaded into the Provar Automation test project.

To switch to a working branch:

Once you have cloned the Project from the remote repository, consider whether you need to create a new branch for your work. This will depend on the workflow your team is following.
